Is it hard to be a doctor? Are medical professionals all that? Are they really so great for them to be recognized as some of the most intelligent individuals in the world? There are hundreds of professions in the industry but medical professions are dreams that millions of people want to achieve. If there is a profession that can be so difficult and hard to acquire, it would be one in the medical industry. But why are doctors/medical professionals considered as titles that are so hard to achieve?
Firstly, the medical world is in no way a joke. Everything in this industry is serious. It all deals with the health, wellness, and the life of a person. When you’re a medical professional, so many lives depend on your hands. One wrong move may cause you to become the worst doctor in history, and you can end up killing so many hopeful individuals who entrusted their lives to you. It’s important for people to understand that being a doctor isn’t just all about the money. It’s also about the duty and responsibility that you took oath in. Every doctor’s job is to save the life of his patients and help them overcome all of the medical struggles that they are dealing with.
Becoming a doctor is no joke, either. Before you can wear a white coat and use a stethoscope like a pro, you should undergo a very long process of formal education first. You need to first enroll in a pre-med course, which is basically any course that has a direct association with medicine. These courses may be psychology, biology, chemistry, and other similar fields. Once you have graduated these courses, you may now proceed with your medical specialization. These specializations are what your exact profession will be. After finishing your specialization, you will have to undergo internship or the process of being a trainee. Once you have completed all of the field requirements, you may now graduate as a doctorate degree holder.
After graduation, the venture is not yet done. There is still the need for you to pass your licensure examination based on the specialization that you took up. Once you have been able to pass the exam, you will now be given the title of a doctor. There are many other steps that you will need to undergo such as extensive training, seminars, oath taking, and major participation in many medical programs and activities.
As a doctor or any other medical professional, it is your duty to uphold the health and wellness of your patients and of the entire world in general as well. You should be a good example in taking care of the body and you should also show the world that doctors aren’t just doing their jobs for the money. It’s true that sometimes, doctors make mistakes, but we really can’t control anything that will happen in this world. Sometimes, it just so happens that it’s the time for a person to pass away, and even the best and most respected doctors cannot do anything to stop this.
If you’re a medical professional or a doctor, you should uphold your name and title. Why not show the world your intellect and professionalism through your personal items? Have your personal bank checks printed with images and symbols of the medical industry. You can also use the title Dr. in all of your activities. You can perform civil service and share your knowledge even to those who are not capable of paying for your services. A doctor is like a hero, so you should be proud to be one.
