They are fictional characters that exhibit goodwill and care for the entire human race, and they use their super powers for the implementation of these principles. Children love the idea of a powerful individual that’s very kind and concerned about others. The interest mainly lies on the fact that the character has powers that are beyond human ability and these powers are what they use to defeat the bad guys.
When it comes to superheroes, there are thousands of names that you can mention from all over the world. Superheroes are very common fictional characters and they can be found in comic books, newspaper cartoons, novels, TV shows, and movies. Whether in cartoon form or not, as long as it’s a superhero, the character will always be loved and admired by children. Sometimes, even those individuals who are young at heart still enjoy reading comic books and watching movies about these superheroes.
If you’re a fan of comic books and animated superheroes, then you must be familiar with Captain America. Who doesn’t know the name? There must be no other superhero as patriotic and as nationalistic as him. Captain America was a fictional superhero character who was originally released by Timely Comics in the 1940’s. Timely Comics was the predecessor of Marvel Comics, one of the most famous comics companies in the world. When Captain America started out his career as a comic book superhero, the period was during the war and a lot of people were very much into the idea of a patriotic superhero. It seemed as though he was fighting against the Axis powers because he wore his USA flag-themed costume. He had an indestructible shield which protected him from all kinds of harm and he could also use it as a weapon by throwing it like a boomerang.
Captain America was a very successful hit during those times, when the war was still clearly remembered. But as the post-war period began, his popularity faltered and eventually, people no longer remembered his presence. This caused him to disappear in the 1950’s. The comics company handling him tried to revive him in 1953 but this comeback was one not too appreciated by the target market. This made him disappear for more than a decade.
However, Captain America didn’t let himself disappear for life. In 1964, when the Silver Age of Comics took place, more and more people appreciated and accepted comics as one of the most popular forms of entertainment. Marvel Comics used this as the leverage to push up Captain America’s popularity once more. He reappeared in 1964 in the comic book series “The Avengers” where he, Captain America, stood as the leader of a group of superhero characters. This also increased the Captain’s popularity because the character that he had now established is one with excellent leadership skills, sincerity and goodwill for the entire human race, and power that’s beyond measure. With Captain America’s comeback and his ever growing popularity, he is now one of the most famous superhero characters of all time.
If you’re a fan of Captain America and you just love everything about him, then you should make a statement about it. Show others just how interested you are in the character by collecting all of his comic books, using Captain America-themed household materials and personal valuables, and having images and themes of the character printed on your personal bank checks and other customizable valuables.
