Fictional characters are usually creations of a person’s imagination. Everyone has a fictional character in his head. Maybe he has an imaginary friend, or a fairy tale character that he has brought to life through his imagination. Most fictional characters remain in a person’s head, but there are characters that become life-like and turn into world-famous entities that make their artists rich.
These world-famous characters are usually found in books and movies, like Harry Potter and Cinderella. They are fictitious beings that capture the hearts and interest of many people, and become part of the society as models and representations of various subjects. Many of these characters are either hero or villain, or protagonist and antagonist. In Harry Potter’s case, for instance, he is the hero of the Wizarding World, while his archnemesis Voldemort is the powerful villain whom he defeats.
One of the most famous heroes of the fictional world is Batman. Who doesn’t know Batman? He is the black-masked, cape-wearing, bat mobile-driving, tough guy who lives in Gotham City. His desire to fight crime and conquer evil is brought about by the death of his parents when he was a young boy. Contrary to most superheroes, Batman does not have any super powers. However, he is extremely rich and has a lot of resources that he can use to create a powerful force that can destroy evil. His most known enemies are the Joker, the Penguin, Two-face, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. He also has allies such as his sidekick Robin, his butler Alfred Pennyworth, the police commissioner Jim Gordon, and his infrequent collaborator, Batgirl.
Batman personal checks depict the crime fighter first created by the artist Bob Kane and the writer Bill Finger. He first appeared in the Detective Comics #27 on May of the year 1939. He became very popular and a year after his creation, a comic book in his name was released. Through the years, Batman’s character became the interest of many. Several movies have been created with him as the main character, such as the film Batman released in 1989, and the movie Batman Begins in 2005.
The secret identity of Batman was the millionaire socialite Bruce Wayne, who used his great intellect and immense wealth to develop a superhero of himself. In order to keep his secret identity secret, he acts like a moronic playboy who childishly spends his family’s fortune. He also acts like he is a heavy drinker, when in fact all he drinks is ginger ale. In truth, Bruce Wayne is a very responsible man who keeps his physical and mental health intact in order to be able to perform the duties that he has bestowed upon himself as a revenge for his parents’ death.
The most remarkable of all his devices and equipment is the Batmobile, which is his superhero car. The Batmobile is a black car with tailfins that depict the wings of a bat. His costume consists of a black cowl with bat-like ears that covers half of his face, a black cape with a scallop hem, a grey suit with a batman emblem on the chest, black brief, black gloves, black boots, and a yellow utility belt.
Today, Batman has become an icon for almost any kind of media. Toys, collectibles, household items, clothing, footwear, and Batman personal checks can carry his image and name. Many people admire Batman because of his extraordinary abilities which make him a good guy inside and out. But the most admirable about Batman is his courage to face the evil that his city fears, and the determination to seek justice for his parents’ death by stopping any more deaths. Truly, as fictional as he may be, Batman is one of the most remarkable superheroes of all time.
